avz4 is a free standalone antivirus. It does not require installation and you can run it from an external device. Like a USB disk. It develop by a Russian person name Oleg Zaitsev and was enquire by Kaspersky antivirus. It is currently support by Kaspersky.

After downloading the avz2 zip file, you need to extract it using an unzipped tool. Once extract run the avz.exe file.

Like all the antiviruses AVZ also has a database aka definition file. This file contain information about malware signature. Like other antivirus tool the first thing to do is to update its definition file.

Updating the tool database file and run a scan:

  • Press on file and select Database Update.
  • After the update is done mark V on your primary disk (c:\)
  • Press the scan button to start the scan.
  • Scanning process taking time, so let it run.

Please note that you can update the definition file into the USB device. If you put avz on a USB device. Doing that gives you an up-to-date database for offline scanning.
